Howdy 🙂

I'm Lawrence but you can call me LT or Law if ya want (it's easier to spell and shorter to say).

I built this site years ago to help me break out of my Engineering job and to also be able to connect with more like minded people.

I have no marketing or business background when I first started out online in 2006 but I realized very quickly working a 8 to 6 type of job wasn't for me if I was gonna raise a family.

I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin back in 2000. My engineering degree did help me in many aspects of my business but nothing to prepare me in how to build sustainable businesses that didn't require me to work all the time.

To go way back in 2006 when I started looking I'm not going to say I just woke up one day and just “knew”.

Nope. I struggled with this. Just like how I struggled with taking care of my triglycerides until I started using this daily.

I knew what I wanted (this is super important if you don't know what is important to you).

1) To be a full time dad taking care of my kids
2) To have more free time to do what I wanted
3) To not be stuck at a desk or traveling for work away from #1 and #2
4) I wanted to be sure my health was taken care of and I was getting healthier so I could live longer with my grandkids (eventually)

So that led me to learning how to eat better, make exercise fun, and generate an income from home by being my own boss.

To learn a bit more “weird/interesting” things about me head on over to

“Let presently there become coffee”… And there is gourmet coffee… Plus the co-workers adored the particular caffeine… along with sipped all of it, the particular bastards!

Hi Lawrence,
I too am an engineer (31+ years). I started online to avoid being cut and left w/ no job. It’s been a slow find, but I am making what some would call full time income in another program. I recently added EN and am impressed w/ your results. We all know that some efforts in the right direction will for sure get us results and you did that very well. Are you seeing sales direct from your EN blog or other avenues? My team is building EN blog posts and are hoping to see that alone make some sales. Of course the question is how many posts do we need ,etc . Any words of wisdom would help, and thanks for your inspiration to all who read and follow you! stan (I’m an EE 🙂

15k talks about a TON of methods… you will realize it’s not “how many” it’s a mixture… of quality and targeting…

Bro Lawrence,

Thanks for your sharing on your life story transition from engineer to full time IM mentor & trainer in Empowered Network. Lots of great value here! Should I join, subscribe to MLSP to generate leads & drive traffic to my website? or wait & see the results or using offline method to recruit people in EN thru Terence Tan’s Direct Dot Com preview seminar, Shaqir Hussyin shared about you & already making money in S’pore but he need integrity & credibility, already new EN members start complaining they are not getting their money worth.Glad you took time helping the newbies in the EN forum and with Webinar training. For all that you do to support others who are struggling to recover their ROI.
Please support buying eBook on any subject or topic from my website -www..com, any comments how to improve & turn traffic into customers.
May God bless you & family.

Hey Lawrence!

Lots of great value here! I’m a MLSP member I’ve also noticed you spending a lot of time helping the newbies in the forum and things like that. I think that speaks volumes of your character because you simply don’t have to do it! I personally want to say thank you! For all that you do to support others who haven’t quite reached the top yet!

Thanks!

my understanding of the give and take is what can I do that won’t alter my marketing time. I came in just like everyone else. I started MLSP in 2009 knowing only magnetic sponsoring (which is pretty little in terms of REAL marketing online in skill sets).

I can’t and won’t do 1 on 1 for free anymore but I will put in my 2 cents in the forum as that is a great place to read up on what people are struggling with and connecting with others in the industry.

Hope to see EVERYONE at the live the dream 😉

Scott Hall · April 22, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Hey Lawrence what is your primary business? What is Numis? What does it cost to get involved?

Lawrence Tam · April 13, 2010 at 2:53 pm

it just goes to show that anyone who is determined can do something in this industry. MLSP and marketing in general over the years has really changed the way I do business. Continue to make strives in life and you can absolutely do this part time too.

paulhutchings · April 7, 2010 at 1:46 am

Hey Lawrence,

I found you on the leader boards in the MLSP back office. I've also heard of you through Dave Wood and your success in Numis.

I love to learn from the best of the best so… I came to check out your blog. I must say, your story is inspiring and real. You give people (including me) a lot of hope. Keep up the great work and I hope to have the chance to connect with you someday.

Sincerely,

Paul Hutchings

the service is information. I retail a front end retail service that is month to month then on the back end my primary opportunity is also education.

so no. it's not robbing people.

This shows the amount of people DYING for information to change their life.

Newbie qestion: Can you really make a long term residual income at internet marketing without owning a product or service? To me internet marketing sounds like a cash shell game. –sorta robbing (conned) Peter to pay Paul. I promise I'm not trying to be negative, just an observation. I hope I'm wrong.
