December was a busy month for everyone especially those of us who wanted to get a head start on the new year. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t take a break to have some fun right up until the time that we celebrated the holidays.

So let's jump into the merriment that was the month of December. Brace yourselves – and get ready to learn some very useful tactics to market your business.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

D1

Early in the month, we kicked off the Day In the Office Workshop. This was a 3-day workshop with high-end clients who flew in from all over  the country to train with me. I kept it intimate so I wouldn't have to spread my time too thin between each person. I wanted to make sure that I answered every question thoroughly and that each person went home really feeling like they knew what they needed to do for their particular business.

Some of the topics we covered were:

  • Ramping up your web traffic, getting better quality traffic, and really taking your web traffic to the next level.
  • Putting out content or offers so good that you raise your customer conversions.
  • Sales funnels – the science of directing your traffic into capturing their email, selling, upselling, thanking and keeping in touch.
  • Branding – making you and your business unforgettable.
  • The family tree of marketing strategies – online, offline, social media and more.
  • Showing up to your business with the right tools for the job.
  • Automation – setting up a system that brings in customers and sales while you sleep.
  • Copywriting – the Holy Grail of sales.

You can always ask me if I will have another day at the office, or a private consultation at [email protected] or get more information HERE

Of course, anyone who comes to Houston, TX to train with me (a native Houstonian) gets the pick of the litter when it comes to great cuisine. I am an unapologetic foodie who lives in the food capital of Texas.

WEDDING AND FAMILY FUN!

Wedding

Just before Christmas, we celebrated the love between PJ and Peggy, my wife’s younger cousin. They had a very creative wedding idea that we loved! At the reception, my wife Jessica and I partied hard (as hard as two parents can, LOL) and felt the sweet nostalgia of youth. The best thing is that I didn’t have to worry about working late, cramming in a last-minute project at work before Christmas. I can enjoy the time I spend with my wife, on my terms. I feel very fortunate for that.

Afterwards, my wife and our two older kids went with her side of the family to Las Vegas for Christmas. They went to see a lot of shows, including David Copperfield and the Jabbawockeez (which have some sick dance moves).

 D3

This gave me some much needed bonding time with my youngest son, who is 1. He does not like to travel, but he does love to go for walks with me. Thankfully, I had the luxury of staying home with him, while the rest of the family traveled.

 D6

My message to you this month, take a break and have a date night with your loved one. For our date night, we went to see the Houston Rockets game very up close and personal. We were only two rows back from the bench. It was an awesome experience!

Q & A HANGOUTS

D5

I put out questions to people who follow me on Facebook and subscribe to my list. I ask them to tell me their most pressing questions about their businesses and business mentality. Subsequently, I have a answer them on a live hangout every Tuesday.

A small sample of what we talked about was:

  • Blogging
  • Domain
  • Ranking in Google
  • Facebook
  • How to build your own systems, build your own training, etc.

You can watch my most recent training and hangout HERE.

Empower Network has experienced a whirlwind of success in the past two years. Now, in it's third year, Empower Network is exploring new ways to create more success for each individual in 2014. To kick off the first event, I will be hosting a luncheon in Miami the day that the event starts. So the luncheon will be during the day and the event starts that evening. You can buy tickets here. http://lunchwithlawrence.eventbrite.com/

 lunch

There are three parts to this lunch:

  • Business training.
  • Gift for attending.
  • Delicious lunch buffet (of course, what business meeting with me would be complete without it?)

Gourmet cuisine has something for everyone, including salads, dinner meat, breads and pastas, and dessert. Drinks include coffee, tea lemonade and more.

TRAININGS & REVIEWS OF THE MONTH

The following training has been one of my most successful and also fun to put together. In it I team up with the CEO of the company for which I use their tool. I have been utilizing this tool since I started a few years ago. One thing I know for sure, I don't recommend or teach others on things I don't use or believe in. By far, this is one of my favorite tools that has helped me grow my blog and online business. Check out more info below.

Keyword Research training

I also created an article on another recently adopted tool that helps me build gangster capture pages. I am in love! No more coding, uploading images or trying to make it all fit with HTML. This is simple, drag and drop with easy to build creative results.

LeadPages Review

There is more to come on Facebook PPC. Did you know that it is one of the fastest, most effective ways to get more fans to your page? As Facebook is the top 5 most visited websites on earth, using it for your business page is a no-brainer.

Most people have a hard time getting over the “no fans” hurdle. I will show you tactics to get you traffic with paid Facebook advertising that will get you a larger return on investment, drive down your costs per click, get real fans (and not fans with fake accounts), and people who are actually interested in buying from you.

In the meantime I also wrote an awesome article and did a video training on this just for you. CHECK IT OUT HERE

Stay tuned for even more ninja Facebook PPC strategies in 2014.

spooon Aaron FriedmanLOL… Gotcha! Sorry, I misunderstood. I guess I’d have to see an example of that to understand it better. Maybe a topic to cover in a future training… Hint–Hint! 🙂

if a restaurant is having a bad rap and getting bad reviews from blogger… you go in and kick those other bloggers out by OUT RANKING THEM 😉 and pushing them down the search page

Aaron Friedman spooon  reputation damage is HELPING recover and HELP someone with bad reviews and social media.. not DAMAGING them 😉

Aaron Friedman · February 5, 2014 at 9:36 pm

spooon Aaron FriedmanAll of the above! LOL

Seriously though; I don’t think that we want to damage anyone’s rep… something about that just doesn’t sound Kosher as my father would say. But doing an in-depth competitive analysis and kicking their butts in the search ranks is a definite! 😉

Aaron Friedman spooon  competition analysis and out ranking them OR>.. doing reputation damage 😉

Aaron Friedman · February 5, 2014 at 8:21 pm

spooon Aaron Friedmanthanks for the quick response! 🙂

Here’s a little background:
I just signed up last night, so I am now just getting into the platform and training tonight. I bought in to SMM to facilitate SEO work that I am doing for a few clients, and for my own internet marketing niche products. Your promo demos that I saw on FB looked excellent, and it seemed to be just want I was looking for. Especially being able to do a keyword competitive analysis (spying on competitors keywords). That’s perfect for 2 clients that I am working with now… one that is a national construction company, and the other that is a national e-commerce company. I am looking to out-rank all their competition, plus rank for new long-tail keywords that get a reasonable amount of monthly search volume.
That’s where I am as of now… so, anything pointing in that direction. Thanks again!

Hey Lawrence,

We met back at the Denver EN event, and I just signed up for the 6-month plan of the Swiss Made Marketing SEO App via your link.

I was wondering if you are going to be doing any training on this great platform? I would be interested to see how it’s working for you, and if you have any input for a new user to the platform.

Thanks!
Aaron
