Pretty interesting question that you probably asked yourself.

I mean, we are all told to get a JOB when we left high school and those that went to college were told also to get a job…. but at least one that can repay the school loans.

No one told me I could work from home when going through school.
I was conditioned all through school that I would eventually be out in an office building or lab. There is NO hope of staying at home eating Doritos and playing xbox at 11am….

There lies the difference from performance driven results to time driven.

When you work for yourself.. it's not about how many hours you clock in. It's about producing.

At a JOB it's more about getting work done but if you finish early you gotta STAY AT WORK….
say what?

Working from home is a TOTAL possibility…

Does working from home really work? The traditional image of working from home is stuffing envelopes or doing mail order gigs. Some people think working from home involves getting involved in a scam.

The truth is, working from home is a viable, legitimate option. Millions of people work from home in virtual call centers, as writers, videographers, sales and marketing, online tutoring and more. Any job where you can provide a digital product (like an article) or a service you can do online or over the phone can be turned into a work-at-home gig. There are lots of illegitimate companies out there, but as internet businesses become more sophisticated, there is more regulation. There are tons of sites with legitimate work from home jobs, and lots of review sites to tell you exactly what to expect.

How I Work At Home

I am living proof that working from home really does work. When I started, I sold things on eBay. I would do market research, found out what sold well, and how much I could sell it for. I would then find a place where I could buy them cheap enough to make a profit (after fees and shipping). My first taste if properly targeting an Avatar, an exact person to sell to.

That is how an astonishing number of people start out working at home. eBay, Amazon and Craigslist generates quick cash for really dedicated sellers. The best sellers can make large profits and sell quickly.

The drawback to selling online was the constant work – as soon as you sold something, you had to go out and buy more. You couldn't always find the product again, so you had to make sure you could find enough products to sell. You didn’t always sell a product, so you could eat it in unsold product or returns. (understanding product returns and inventory…. a lesson for another day)

I wanted to create a residual income, an income that kept coming in regardless if I worked that day or not. So I started studying affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing would make me a rich.. right? Of course, I studied a lot, worked very hard, had lots of things that didn't work, but because I stuck with it, I became wealthy after failing a LOT…. a LOT. Your results will depend on you and your work.

How To Get Started

If you want to get started working from home, then you will want to decide not only how much money you want to make, but how much time you have. If you are single and work a part-time job, then you will have a lot more time than someone who has a family and works full time. You will have to find something that will pay you enough, in your available time, to meet your goals.

Being time available is a huge bonus.

Affiliate Marketing

This is selling other people's products and earning a commission. A good example would be selling real estate. A real estate agent doesn't build the house, nor do they have to buy the house in order to resell it. They connect the buyer and seller and make a commission off of the deal.

Think Middle Man/Woman

I recommend internet affiliate marketing.
Or some form of affiliate marketing where you focus on Marketing and let the parent company do all of the (product/support). This will help you focus and not have to worry about building all aspects of the business until you are ready to build your own awesome product/service.

But it's always 1000% easier if you are cashflowing vs sinking a bunch of time and money into a business that isn't cashflowing. This is the main reason to be an affiliate to learn the industry you want to sell in and start building traffic and email lists.

Affiliate – this is selling other people's products online. You make a commission when you connect a buyer and a seller. I will get into how that works in the next video. Thank you for watching Video 4 see you on the Next Video 5.

Working from home could sound any but hard.

Actually it can be easy only if you apply hard work and dedication. Only way you can truely breakthrough. Is to apply yourself and want more out of life. I feel online marketing could be a success. Only if you truly believe it.

carlene · August 1, 2015 at 11:23 am

Thanx for sharing Lawrence…..almost can’t believe it’s true, that’s how good it is BUT I do beLIEVE it’s true! Haha hope that makes sense.

David Johns · July 8, 2015 at 9:33 pm

Great video Lawrence.
Sounds like I need to start creating content.
Blog posts, podcasts, videos, and information that will match a need to a product. Sounds simple, but I want to make sure I have a process for sharing this info, correct?

    Lawrence Tam · July 15, 2015 at 4:35 pm

content serves a purpose…. adding to the universe before you take from it 😉
Value before you ask for the sale

Floyd Albarado · February 19, 2015 at 7:49 pm

Lawrence this video was awesome because of the simple way in which you explained how to sell stuff online (affiliate marketing) and make a commission from it. I love how you broke it down into such simple, easy to understand methodologies.

    Lawrence Tam · February 19, 2015 at 9:15 pm

affiliate marketing is a killer way to grow an income.

Joshua Wiesler · November 26, 2014 at 9:05 pm

The analogy to a real estate agent was spot on. I never thought of it that way. Really appreciate the quality of the videos

    Lawrence Tam · July 15, 2015 at 5:07 pm

people get that… selling something they didn’t build but has value and getting paid to do it.

Milena · October 17, 2014 at 9:32 pm

I believe that you can make money from home. I also know now that working from home = working hard, and treating it like a business not a hobby. My question to you Lawrence is what’s the minimum amount of time you need with your program per day to build it and start seeing results soon enough?

    Lawrence Tam · July 15, 2015 at 5:00 pm

i worked about 20 hours a week cause lower than that I forget what i’m working on and just make mistakes

Jenny Ceballos · September 21, 2014 at 9:20 pm

Just watching the past 4 videos has already given me some great ideas to work on. Not just using your well known Empower products, but other things I never would of thought of doing. These videos have been some of the greatest help to giving me the missing links I need to start work part time online.

Jenny Ceballos · August 29, 2014 at 10:41 pm

Hi! I am from Panama and I think that these 4 videos about freedom are interesting and real, because is a new way to start business and make it continuous. I have been reading about online marketing since a couple of months ago and I want to get in but I want to get in well!!

Thanks for posting this!

I totally believe that you can make money from home I just need to figure out how and with the info I’m learning from you I’m starting to see the light! Especially with this affiliate marketing..I have some great ideas but first I got to figure how to build a website!!! Thanks for the info so far! I will keep marching on!

Sheri Kreiner · August 13, 2014 at 6:21 am

By definition, I am definitely the ideal candidate for a home-based business as I have the time needed, I’m definitely with an outstanding vehicle company(Empower Network) who provides excellent resources. I truly learned that there definitely is such a thing as an ideal candidate which is a good thing to know upon myself getting to the recruiting phase of building my business and team as far as what to look for!

Thank you, Lawrence! Excellent information as always!

Tina Rhodie · July 28, 2014 at 11:23 pm

I’ve done the home parties, etc and that’s not my idea of working from home. It was actually meeting someone through a traditional MLM that lead me to EN. I’m here to stay and now need the eyeballs ready to buy visiting my site.

Nick Irwin · July 28, 2014 at 11:34 am

L.T.

One of many reasons I am working with the empower network is so I can eventually work from home. I have a ton of availability so it really works out perfect for me. I’ll continue to watch the videos as were getting into the good stuff.

Stef Lee · July 18, 2014 at 5:27 pm

Hi Lawrence!

This video reminded me of what Robert Allan the author had said in a seminar that I attended. He said “Entrepreneurs are unemployable” meaning that they think ahead, want to do more, have their sights set on bigger things, have a hard time conforming to the rules, can’t deal with the petty task of office politics. Like your video I listened and it validated my leaving my job to work for myself! Thank you!

Demy Watts · July 16, 2014 at 3:02 pm

Good info Lawrence…thank you. I never want to work for anyone ever again, hence wanting to crack this online business as an affiliate partner. I am only with 1 company at present and i intend to give it my everything before I branch out.

Peter de Vera · July 9, 2014 at 2:29 pm

Dear Lawrence,

I truly believe more so that working from home can make you very rich in more ways than one. Not just material alone but priceless times with your family whether it be at home or on the beaches of the World! Thank you for the motivation!

God Bless you and family,

Peter

    Lawrence Tam · July 9, 2014 at 2:36 pm

there is gold… in more ways than just monetary 😉

Kenny Wilkinson · July 9, 2014 at 2:14 pm

I had a little technical trouble watching this video but I understand that working from home is TOTALLY possible. I also understand that you recommend affiliate marketing.

The best thing I liked about this video is that you are living proof it is possible.

To apply this to my business, I realize that affiliate marketing is a viable income source and being a service provider only is limiting me.

Andre Kotze · July 5, 2014 at 3:57 am

Good info thanks Lawrence 🙂

We are looking at two income sources, network marketing and affiliate and own products. Right now our focus is on building a strong network in our primary business.
This will provide us with a residual income that once stable will let us focus on the other income source or even sources.

    Lawrence Tam · July 5, 2014 at 11:48 am

here is a hint… residual income or business income in general should never be called “stable”… if you took a graph you can draw a line that would make it resemble a flat slope income.. or “stable”… but actually being stable is a bad thing.

    do you want $1k/month

or $300 on month and $11,000 the next month… stability isn’t what you want.. you want growth 😉

Elvira · July 3, 2014 at 1:31 am

Well it looks like I am a prime candidate for this type of business, as I am retired and have a lot of time to invest into this business. Thank you for your insight, I know it is possible to duplicate what you have done. Especially because I can tell that you are such a good mentor and coach who truly cares about others success. You are such a blessing and so good at pouring value into peoples lives. I can’t wait to find out how this all works, I am more than ready.

    Lawrence Tam · July 3, 2014 at 7:49 am

cool thing is.. i’m just a normal guy who had big dreams but had a difficult time finding enough people to “reason” with my mind that working from home was actually….. feasible… that’s why i’m here… to show IT’S possible

Joel Gomez · June 6, 2014 at 2:28 am

I work from home now & I love it. Like you said there is nothing better than to take your kids to school & pick them up all week & all year, Its a true blessing. But I now want to focus on internet marketing & take it to the next level. =)

Give great value & find a way to solve people’s problems! Valuable info Lawrence.

Kamal lakhr · June 3, 2014 at 8:41 am

Working at home don’t mean become lazy and stay all the day having fun watching TV then you will see money come by himself
when i did read biography of some superstars/business man/stock broker/hedge fund/marketers
even founders
they all work at home but they all have a special thing that 99% of people don’t have
big desire to work
they don’t wait someone tell them to work
they know that them work will be a cause of them result
if they work hard they will get more
work less they will get less
easy concept ^^

P.S: they don’t just work hard “even slaves work hard but they don’t get any results” but they work mostly intelligently

thank you for all that Lawrence

karen · May 29, 2014 at 2:27 pm

i always wanted to stay home with my family and stopped being bossed and pushed around, you are a living proof of my dreams, great work keep it up.

Walter · May 24, 2014 at 11:01 am

Working from home. I knew I have always wanted to do this. Being in this industry, yet giving up years ago…. I could never let it go. I always knew at some point in my life I would have an online business.. built from home. It was just a matter of when… And that time is now.

Martin · May 24, 2014 at 5:35 am

I have got about 2 hours per day so I really need to maximize that time. In a lot of affiliate programs you have to buy it to sell it. I need to sell things you don’t have to buy until I get on my feet. I know working from home works and you are definitely living proof. Great video Lawrence 🙂

Stephen Bauman · May 20, 2014 at 2:41 pm

Hey Lawrence,

I’m actually learning a ton more by following the Learn Do Teach method with your videos…I’m ready to work from home. Let me know if I have the concept explained properly in this review:

Thanks for being some helpful!!

Rigoberto Ramirez · April 28, 2014 at 12:18 am

That analogy you used to explain ” working from home.” was pretty cool. I certainly got some value form this video:

1) if I may, I would like to model the way you eplain to other the value of working from home. As a personal development consultant, I worked out of my home for a long time until I adquired a training center and office. But never the less, starting from home is awesome.

2) You gave me a great idea of selling as an affiliate. Since I like to be of service to others, I would love to help others sell what they have to offer. Especially my personal development program.

Great Video.

    Lawrence Tam · April 28, 2014 at 8:41 am

understanding affiliate marketing then helping others embrace and retail their own products or being an affiliate is a really cool way to help people transition from a JOB to working from home.

spooon · January 28, 2014 at 10:16 pm

andilerner it’s a step process but the cool thing is you can take massive steps super fast.. .compared to 4 year schools… and better yet you can learn while in school

andilerner · December 21, 2013 at 7:31 pm

Yeah, after a lot of years of not being able to do a regular job, I finally figured out that I CAN make (amazing) money working at home, and I don’t have to work 26 hours a day/8 days a week, and I don’t have to drive my friends & family away bugging them to get into my thing. I found an opportunity that works, that resonates with me, that feeds my spirit, that I can do regardless of my health limitations. Yes! Now I just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other, take massive action (as best I can) daily.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

AustinHayes · December 17, 2013 at 9:19 pm

Internet Affiliate is genius!! I liek your idea about being an affiliate to Amazon and GoDaddy! My business is selling instrumentals to artists and rappers online! I have recently set it up to run on autopilot so it is ready to go!….now just need to find out how to get traffic and converts to buy!!!!!!

Jaynae · December 15, 2013 at 9:22 am

Haha!  Couldn’t fall asleep!  Love it.  I needed a big cubicle for high school maths class!  Definitely true about a certain type of person.  Someone who wants to be free and it’s not for everyone.  We’re a different breed.  It’s the thing about us doing the things most people won’t do and so being able to do the things that most people can’t.  Smart hard work and dedication. Good stuff Lawrence, looking forward to the rest of the vids.
