Just in case you haven't been looking at world news the Canada Post Strike is a pretty interesting unfolding situation. From what I've gathered here are a couple of things I've been pulling together.

Canada Post Strike – It's For Real

Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) was set to June 1, Thursday at 11:59 p.m. EST.

So a strike can't be good for anyone and of course there were deals sent back and forth to iron out the details but of course the strike hit and BAM – no postal service for Canada.

So then 2 weeks of rotating strikes Canada Post locked everyone out. I mean everyone.

Workers came into work wanting to get a paycheck and earn their way to trading time for money and they were DENIED!

I mean how frustrating is that? When we have the thought that people can “go postal” due to the job and you can't even “go postal”!

It's bad enough to be trading time for money but then to do it in a job that doesn't exactly put a smile on your face to only get the door LOCKED on you. Ouch!

Yes, I'm in the USA so how does a Canada Post Strike mean anything to us down south? You can learn a lot actually.

Canada Post Strike – Learn To NOT Do

Yeah I know, kind of an odd thing to say but let's learn from this.

How many people do you think LOVE working at the post office? Okay okay. maybe there are some but at what percentage? I mean how many people growing up and when asked what they want to be when they grow up that their response is “I want to work at the post office”.

I mean let's get real. People who work in the post office go postal because of 2 main reasons in my humble opinion.

1) In general people are a bit nutty. If you deal with enough people you will see on average most people are not the sharpest tool in the shed. Most people I know tend to AVOID the post office line. Here in Texas we have these 24 hour weighing mail stations so for the most part you can do mailing with a computer. The savvy ebay people know they can just print and weigh their stuff at home. The scale I purchased when I was an Ebay powerseller is one of the best purchases I've had in a long time.

They say in health instead of trying to fix the problem spend more time in preventative health. I tend to practice preventative headaches.

I do NOT want to stand in a line. I much less would want to spend my time in a post office line. I'm surprised the Canada Post Strike is such big news. I mean why haven't more people just avoided the post office altogether and just scream for an automated way to do it.

Sure there are situation where you need to ship some odd ball thing but for most there is NO reason you should be in line. I mean putting my mail on vacation is about the only time I go to the post office and at least doing that I can go to another window with no line. Most people are there looking to buy stamps, mail a simple envelope or certify something.

But… I do want to give a shout out to those who DO work in the post office. The post office strike is a wake up call to those in that industry.

Do you LOVE your job? Do you like waiting on people who ask you the DUMBEST Questions? hahah, I know I'm mean.

2) Your not compensated for the pain.

Let's be frank. You work at the post office because of the money. No one aspires to work there. You got there as a back up plan because that was the best solution to your problem – getting paid.

So in exchange for time and patience they decided to get a job at the post office. Great! My uncle works there and does the night shift. He has done well for his family and it's a good stable job (if stable is a word these days).

But working the night shift or being called in during holidays is his thing… it's not. He does what he has to do to make the ends to take care of his family. I respect that.

But…. Does he have options?

You know you do!

See the Canada Post Strike is a wake up call to those in the post office industry and all Post Office workers.

Work on YOU. Work on a business that pays YOU.

Would you lock yourself out?  Ummm no.

Canada Post Strike – Flip It For Good

The Canada Post Strike is a wake up call to start investing in yourself. You need to start today to supplement your income and don't allow ALL of your income to come from someone who can some day just lock you out.

A quote from the Townman about the Canadian government's involvement about the Canada Post Strike-

“It's so unfair because they are forcing us back to work and we're losing all of our bargaining rights,” said Barb Howes. “We don't know what they are going to give us, but we're not expecting it to be good.”

How much can that suck to know you don't like your job, the pay isn't the greatest and they STILL want you to go to work.

NICE!

As those workers are forced into yet another situation that isn't great for their future I fully suggest to those and anyone else who wants to not get stuck in a situation like this is to “Pay Yourself First”.

Yep, work on yourself and get paid to do the things you REALLY want to do. I know for a fact no one wants to wake up and go work at the post office. If money wasn't the issue they would go teach kids, become a doctor, or review movies for a J.O.B.

If you are still looking for that outlet I highly suggest learning what the Internet can do for your current side gigs or for newbies who want to learn how the internet works for business.

Yes, you can do this.

If you want to learn more about what I do on a part time basis yet profit more than what people make in their full time J.O.B go get educated on online marketing.

Let’s see 19 years in, do I love my job? It’s a job that pays bills.

Am I on strike? Currently a lot of poeple especially younger generations who TWEET believe that this is a strike. Unfortunately the concept of a LOCK OUT fails to enter into the minds of the public.

Got hooped in 97, now I got hooped in 2011. Let’s see how 2015 will do.

Will I learn from your online stuff? Depends on how I can get money back from what I invest into you.

yeah, after seeing the lockout. man. that’s like the whole thing with crossing the picket line but when your forced to go and not have any bargaining power. ouch.

well, here is the good news. my bootcamp is COMPLETELY FREE and you can be working at your online business without spending a dime (but i wouldn’t recommend it unless you like doing tedious stuff)
